I don’t love my ex, in the life long partner kind of way. There were red flags but I think that I was afraid to be alone at the time.

I am taking time to discover what I enjoy in life now, instead of always trying to please everyone else. Sometimes it isn’t easy, but the results make it worth going out of my comfort zone.

Zumba, for me, works wonders for me. I have had my days where I need to force myself to get off the couch and out the door. When you’re in class, you can’t help but smile and have a good time.

Hopefully, one day I’ll meet the perfect someone for me. Marriage to me, symbolizes a life long commitment; I would only want to marry my soul mate.

That said, I have asked my parents if I can have my grandmother’s engagement ring that was left to me. I’m going to where it on my right hand.

You are not alone on that journey! It is the struggle we all face. And when you aren’t raised by people who know how to “coach” you through it all, you get lost pretty quickly. Having said that, the people in our lives were doing the best they could. Most women never come out of it for lack of support and TOOLS in their toolbox! I hear your story all too often. So cliche to say but Learning to LOVE yourself IS the Greatest love of all. AND when we get in touch with WHO we really are and OWN it all, our gifts, talents and passions we can step into our GREATNESS and THERE is where we find the people who vibrate at our level. I had my “Aha” moment when I read the four loves by C.S. Lewis. In my first marriage my husband put me on a pedestal, and in my second significant relationship I put the man on the pedestal. I read all the self help books out there…and received insight from many…but the one that sticks out is the “Four Loves” by C.S. Lewis. Learning about the different types of love was inspiring-and then contemplating that if I put God first in my life… instead of being worshipped or worshipping a man.. I would find the true meaning of love…I thought “this makes sense” and I would try it. I have never been happier.

Marriage is important in a true love relationship. It shows the woman respect and honours her role in the relationship. With the right foundation (a relationship with God for both the man and the woman) they will stand a better chance of having the fairytale romance:-) praying for your prince to find you~

Breaking up because ur clock is ticking is not a good reason. U can love each other, have kids and not be married. That may be why u had a problem a month later. The question is, “Do u love each other!”
