Reiko, those visuals made me laugh. Sorry! :)

I loved your comment so. Thank you. As I just cleaned puke that missed the toilet bowl about an hour ago, I appreciate your words. ;)

Such a timely post! I am a single mother of a wonderful almost 10 year old little boy. A few times a year he gets pretty sick to his tummy. When he was younger he would come into my room and announce he needed to throw up and proceed to do it right on the side of my bed. Fun times cleaning the carpet and getting the smell out so I could actually go back to sleep. The weird thing about him getting sick is that once its out he is fine, he goes right back to sleep (to leave Mommy to clean up). I thought at almost 10 we were done with the announcing and he would just go straight the to bathroom. Well Sunday night - he did announce it but made it to the bathroom but didn't life the toilet seat. Needless to say it was everywhere - on the bathroom rugs, mirror, shower door, you name it he hit it. I had just settled into a crossword puzzle and a nice up of chamomile tea in my just cleaned (yes bathroom too!) house. I felt so bad being annoyed since this little peaked face was looking up at me. I had to walk away and breathe. I have to say for that 2 minute breathing I felt like the most horrible mother in the world for feeling upset on having to clean all this up. So I realize in this post and the comments that follow - I am not alone, I am just human and it doesn't take away from the fact that I love my son more than anything in this world. We are all entitled to our moments, its how we acknowledge them and handle them that makes the difference. Thanks for the post! Hope he is on the mend soon!

I always seem to cope with sick children the first day or two, but by the third day you just NEED to vent to someone. Like Cathy said;"you start to feel trapped". Best of luck, I hope he feels better soon, sending best health wishes your way.

I think venting is a good way to get rid of built up negative energy, kind of clearing the clutter. So vent all your frustrations and then let them go and be thankful for what you do have, even on the darkest days you can find something to be thankful for. I remember not too long ago my 3 children would get so sick, all three of them have asthma pretty bad and one of them has a lung colasping condition and when they would get a cold many times it would turn into pneumonia and usually they would have pneumonia all at the same time or one right after another. So that meant around the clock breathing treatments for all 3 for weeks. Also one of them would usually need a run to the ER in the middle of the night. My daughter had a couple of hospital stays of up to a week, while my other to were at home with pneumonia. Talk about not sleeping. I had very little support too so that made it harder. Anyway I also believe that sometimes we are just going to fast and something has to slow us down. Hope your little one feels better soon, enjoy your time off and be good to yourself.
